A Catholic missionary priest, Fr. Dr. C.P. Anto is a dedicated leader committed to fostering peace and environmental preservation in Nagaland. As the founder of the Peace Channel, a pioneering youth peace movement, he has trained over 150,000 children and youth in peacebuilding and environmental stewardship, equipping more than 1,000 teachers and 550 religious and community leaders with the tools to promote harmony within their communities. In 2014, he established the North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR), Nagaland's first social work institute, introducing the Peace and Conflict Transformation Studies specialization in the MSW program—India's first of its kind. Under his guidance, models of peacebuilding and environmental protection have been developed, and both the Peace Channel and NEISSR have encouraged the creation of peace clubs, peer mediation, and people's forums for peace, as well as peace gardens, tree planting, and kitchen gardens. A recipient of numerous awards at regional, national, and international levels,  C.P. Anto's work inspires future generations to be stewards of peace and sustainability.
